There are several reasons why people choose to be single and there are also their advantages and disadvantages to singlehood. Personally, i feel that it all depends on one's thinking whether they're happier to be single or married. let's talk about some of the advantages of being single:
- one will have more freedom when they are single as they could do whatever they want, whenever they feels like without any worries.
- they will have greater opportunities to persue their careers as they are alone without the need to consider other factors like family.
- they are able to spend the money the way they like as there is no other burden they are carrying.
now, the disadvantages:
- loneliness as they find that there isn't anyone they could spent their time with.
- being excluded from couple activities.
those disadvantages of being single are some that can be satisfy in other ways. for example, loneliness can be replaced by asking friends out instead of boyfriends or girlfriends. they can also have activities which revolve their friends, this may be even happier than with their other half.
therefore, i feel that not all single are unhappy. instead, being single has lesser responsibilty and is able to lead a more carefree lifestyle compared to those married ones. but it all still depends on one's preference.
